Democrats Do Their Hypocrite Dance Over Supreme Court Nominations

On the best of days, we are not huge fans of the Democrats and their party, which we see as a conglomerate of everything that is hypocritical and unpatriotic in our country. However, they are really taking it to extremes these last few days since the death of Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia, one of the greatest conservative minds this country has ever given us.

President Obama and his administration have been up in arms since Scalia’s lifeless body was discovered, doing everything in their power to push another Supreme Court candidate while Obama is still President. We kid you not, at times it feels like they would rather pick a random person off the street and appoint them Supreme Court Judge than sit back, relax and acknowledge the fact that the people of this country want to wait for the new President because they are sick of Obama and his “running” of the country.

The fact that they are in such a rush tells us two things. In fact, it tells us plenty more, but there are two very obvious things we can take from the fact they are foaming at the mouths trying to push the nomination through. The first lesson we can learn is that Obama plans on nominating someone who is far too liberal and partisan and the second one is that they have all but given up on the presidential elections that are before us.

If this was not the case, they would not be that worried about pushing the nomination through at the moment. They would simply wait for the Democratic candidate to win at the election and then nominate in peace. Also, it is clear that their candidate is going to be someone way too far to the left and Obama knows that this is pretty much the last chance for him to push another socialist into the Supreme Court.

One of the worst things about this particular situation is that the Democrats are just insanely hypocritical, even by their own standards. Everywhere you turn, there is a Democratic senator, representative or even the President himself almost in tears how the big, bad Republicans are not letting them nominate another Supreme Court Justice and how the big, bad Republicans are being obstructionist. They are appalled at what the Republican party is doing and they are screaming at the top of their lungs that the Republicans are “damaging the constitution.”

To every single Democrat who has the nerve to say something like that and especially to every parrot Democratic Party supporter who is encountering something like this for the first time, we feel like we should give a little history lesson. We believe that a few of our readers might need a reminder too, not that we would ever put them in the same bag as any Democrat, do not get us wrong, please.

Namely, refusing to acknowledge nominations put forward by the President of the United States was invented by the Democratic Party, or more precisely Joe Biden, the current Vice President. He was the man behind the process through which the Democrats refused to let through the nomination of Robert Bork by then-President Ronald Reagan. The Democrats did it over and over again, with the filibustering of Alito back in 2006 being the high point (or the low point, depending on how you look at it). In 2007, Chuck Schumer openly and blatantly declared that the Congress would refuse any nominee put forward by George W. Bush and that they would wait until the election.

And now, when the Republican Party even hints at using the same strategy that they had used time and time over in the past, they are screaming to high heaven (or whatever they believe in) that the Republicans are trying to destroy America.

The important thing now is for the Republican congressmen and congresswomen to stand united and to refuse to bulk under pressure. The next Supreme Court Associate Justice might just be the deciding vote and this country cannot afford it to be a Democratic sweetheart.
